A Mobius Manhattan

A re-imagination of Manhattan as a three-dimensional object with only one surface, aka a Mobius Strip.

This shape has the advantage of bringing certain parts of the city closer together that would not be possible in the current planar existence of Manhattan. This project folds a map of Manhattan to decrease distance between areas with the most activity while taking into account the reach of high rise buildings and various purposes of each region.

For example, some regions may be geared towards shopping, others are residential, and others are entertainment centers. The folds in the structure aim to create more diverse arrangements of these specialized regions in a small 3D distance
